Is it normal for a 14 year old to be this attached to his father?
I know this very nice african family that just moved into our neighborhood about 3 months ago from West Africa. It is just the father and the son, the boy is his only child and the mother died about 10 months ago. I have became friends with his father and made them feel welcome comfortable here and I even volunteered to drop his son off at the school every morning since since I have to head that way ever morning for me to go to work his father has to leave for work the opposite way and he doesn’t have time to do so. This morning when I went to knock on his door to pick him up so we could take off he had his backpack on and everything getting ready to walk out the door and then his dad just walked up and kissed him smack on the lips for about 4 seconds then headed out for his car. And his son just took it like it was no big.
I noticed that him and his son are very close because they are always kissing like this before they leave and start their day. And last week I just finished babysitting his son for nearly two weeks straight because his father had to fly across the country to New York regarding something that was required in his job. That day when he came over to my house to pick his son up he told me about it and said that he wanted to bring his son with him but he didn’t want him missing any school. So I said that I wouldn’t mind taking his son in and watch him for that week that he was going to be gone for, because I’ve got two other empty bedrooms, no kids and my husband and I aren’t together anymore so there’s plenty of room for his son to stay. I could tell his son really wanted to go with him too because when we were talking about it he didn’t say much. He had to leave on a Friday morning so he dropped his son off at my house at 5 in the morning because he had to be at the airport by 8. I’ve never seen a father and son so close in my life. When he dropped his son over to my house that morning we talked for about 15 minutes or so, and he told me that he didn’t want his son out of sight, he didn’t want him walking about in any stores alone, or going outside to play during the night. He is very protective of his son.
Before he left he pulled his son close to his chest, they hugged each other tight and kissed on the lips a few times. He told his son that he loved him and for him to do all of his school work. I had to help him get his son to stop hugging him because he had wrapped his arms around his fathers neck and wouldn’t let go. I literally had to hold his son down just so his father could walk out the door. He told me he will be back in a week and they he would give me money for watching him, but I refused and said I was just happy to be doing it for free as we are friends now. Then he drove on down to the airport.
Well late that afternoon when I picked his son up from school he got into my car looking upset and I could tell by his eyes all red and watery, that he had been crying at school. I asked him what was wrong, and he said that he didn’t want his father to go and that he had never had been away from his father as long as a week. I told him it he’d be fine and that we would have alot of fun, and that 7 days would go by so fast before his eyes. Well I guess I was wrong.
When I got home I cooked him something to eat, but he just kept staring into the distance as if he didn’t have an appetite. I fixed up one of the spare rooms for him and I had already had some board games out that I had planned to play with him with, but right when I finished fixing him a room up he just went straight to bed.
The next morning it was Saturday and he had asked to call his dad. He didn’t have a cellphone so I let him use the house phone. I listenend to his conversation the whole time while I was in the kitchen cooking breakfeast and all I’ve heard him do was complain and whine about how he missed him and wanted him to come back. And his father wasn’t even gone for 2 days yet!
So that day I tried to make him feel more comfortable with his father being gone, so I told him I’d take him out and around town (money wise). I can tell that his father is working hard struggling with his job and trying to make money to pay his bills because he tells me he isin’t being treated the best at work, and he is being paid very low for the type of work that he does, so him flying out of California to Newyork had to be something big for him to get a better position in his work. His father can’t afford to go out and buy him all these name brand clothes, and the boy only has 2 or 3 outfits and the rest was just his traditional African clothing and he only had a pair of sandals.
So that day I took his son out all around town and to the mall to get him some clothes and shoes to wear. He didn’t even have a coat and it was pouring down raining, his father left him his coat for him to wear but it was way too big on him. So I took him out and tried to find him one of those too. I was having fun taking him around town and picking ou

I literally bought him a new wardrobe that day.

I think he needs to see some kind of psyciatrist or counsiler because I don’t think it is normal for a 14 yearold to be this attached to his father with all the crying, hugging and kissing. That usually stops at age 6 it doesn’t go on when you’re 14.

I bet something REALLY bad happened down there and it may have traumatized him. If not, he lost his MOM less then a year ago. He probably feels very alone without his father and is scared that something will happen to him and that he’ll be all alone in the world.

I agree with being more creeped out by you. Our customs and culture is not the same as the rest of the world, including Africa. Maybe the kid’s still in pain from his mother’s death and feels scared to leave his father for so long. Sheesh

I remember watching all these many times over. Classic action films from the late 80s early 90s. I wasn’t into the Mad Max franchise but the rest are 5/5 for the action genre of that era.
imo Terminator 2 is the the greatest action movie and sequel ever.

I’m 22 and have OCD, and General Anxeity Disorder…
Okay, when I went to sleep I had my pants on and buttoned up. When I woke up a few months ago, they where unbuttoned. Do you think it’s possible that my Mom did that, and maybe did something worse?
I have never been sexually abused, or assaulted in any way in the past. I have been flashed by a guy in the bathroom before, though I don’t think it would still be affecting me since he never actually touched me. It does seem like I hear this type of thing and other cases of rape and stuff on the news a lot. That and feels it feels like a lot a lot of girls I know have been raped.
Reasons why this couldn’t happen:
-She’s never done anything sexual to me in my life.
-My mom is a Christian;
-She said that would never do anything like that.
-She also has my dad to umm take care of her "needs" for that kind of stuff…
-I asked my mom, she said she didn’t do it.
-I also also asked my mom is got touched that sorta way that she didn’t want to happen, and she it never happened.
-The logical part of my mind says that nothing happened.
-There have been times that I’ve woken up a bit before she wakes so I pretend to be asleep to see what she does, and she only wakes me up.
-My Mom from what I know of her, she isn’t the selfish type of person.
-She normally cares for the rest of the family before herself. T
his has been months ago.
-My mom hasn’t been acting different to me.
-She hasn’t been doing any sexual passes at me.
-When I was a lot younger around 13 when I 1st started liking girls, I was looking my mom’s chest area. She told me she was uncomfertbale that I was looking there.(I don’t look there now btw)
-She gets upset that when I ask about this fear.
-I’m apprently a really light sleeper.
-I apprently wake up just by mom touching my toes or my face, sometimes just by walking into my room while I’m asleep.
-My mom is get very upset when she can’t fix my worrying(Not just about this fear, actually I try to avoid talking to her about it nowadays.)
-Even my psychologist thinks I’m worrying too much about this.(We haven’t gotten too much into this fear yet since I’ve been feeling like crap over the last couple weeks because of a change in meds.)
Reasons why this could happen:
-None that I can think of other than waking up with my pants unzipped.
-Nothing else other than what my GAD and OCD makes me think of.
So could I get my phycologist to deal with this spceific fear for one session to hopefully get it taken care even though I’m going for cbt? I really want to get rid of this fear since I’ve had it for almost a year and it really does hurt my mom…
You’re twenty-two, and your mom is still waking you up? First of all- let’s deal with that. Buy yourself an alarm clock. You are a man at twenty-two and you should not even be in a situation like this. Take back your life. I understand you have some medical conditions that you are working on dealing with, but try making your own decisions, running your own life and being a mature young man. No- your mother did not do anything to you. You know this- your condition is just asking for reassurance. Talk with your therapist about some treatments that include you standing on your own and being a twenty-two year old man. Quit allowing your mother to come into your bedroom to wake you up as if you were still six and having to get ready for the school bus.

It depends what lvl you are. Im 1st Prestige and i use:
G36C -Primary
Desert Eagle -Sidearm
PERKS:
Bandolier-double mags
Deep Impact -Same as you (great minds think alike)
Martyrdom -Always good to try and get that extra kill
I chose these because the G36C has great range for being an assault rifle and with the double magazines perk, since the clip (the # of bullets that show on your screen) is so small, you can be running out of bullets in the middle of a gun fight when your on a streak or such. Yes the Desert Eagle has a lot of recoil but you cant argue with its raw power (especially with Deep Impact, that goes for the G36C as well.) And lastly, Martyrdom is, as i said before, always good to try and get that extra kill if another guy knifes you or in a close range gun-fight. Just make sure if you kill someone, on the other hand, that he doesn’t have it.
Hopefully this helped and, again, these are just my suggestions.

What reasons do you believe were the end result of this Super Bowl Game?
I believe poor field position and poor protection for the Patriots were huge contributors to the end result.
Is it me or did it seem Patriots defense after their final scoring drive were nonchalant by playing loose, picking up Giants players, and patting them on their helmets between plays as if they had the game locked?
The biggest play in my opinion was the scramble play on 3rd and 5 with 1:15 on the clock with the completion from Manning to Tyree (incredible catch) in final Giants drive.
Lastly, Brady finally looked rattled in this game.
What reasons do you believe were the melt down of the Patriots?
Spy games will be in question.
Should there be an astrick next to the Patriots Super Bowl victories?
Do you believe the Chargers wish Manning would have stayed with them?

Does anyone else here thing David Deangelo is a sneaky scam artist (see details)?
If you haven’t heard of a pickup artist, they are idiots that try to take money from insecure guys by teaching them "pickup lines". The one thing I hate about them are insults (eg:negs) to girls. I was only average with girls so I decided to try this crap out and I made a girl cry and say "I hate you". Instead I asked my sister for advice and she said this: Pick up artists are the biggest scam to mankind, what makes a girl like you is a secure nice guy with a sense of humor. So instead I listened to my sister and I now have a girlfriend that is beautiful inside and out.
*I am not another pickup artist trying to steal his clients, I have suffered from PTSD and am now finally cured by being myself rather than listening to some guy trying to make a cheap buck while breaking girls hearts.

Anyone trying to make money off teaching guys how to pick up girls are automatically into scamming people whether it’s the shy guy putting out money and getting bad advice, or the women being viewed as individuals to manipulate. Types like that are only looking out for their wallet. Your sister was so right. Honest, open sincerity, and a sense of humor goes a long way compared to shallow "pick up" lines. Being a good listener and showing interest in getting to know a girl, letting her guide the relationship is also a big plus. It’s all about RESPECT!

suddenly missing a girl and cant get her out of my head.?
I need some help, i feel like I’m going crazy. let me give you some background first. I’m a 20 year old guy, normal weight and everything. I’m not ugly but I’m also not hot, most girls would prolly call me cute. I’m really shy when it comes to girls and i always let good chances go by because I’m also scared of rejection. Anyways, around this time 2 years ago through a friend i met a girl. I don’t want to call it love at first sight but the first time i saw her i knew i wanted her to be my girl friend. The next day we started talking on facebook and AIM, and he hit it off really good. We would talk to each other all the time if we were own. We then went out on a date a week after first meeting her, and then another the next weekend. All this time we would talk like all the time, hours and hours each day. Then after about a month and a half i started to feel like she didn’t like me anymore. All our plans would get canceled, not just on her part but on mine to for reasons that were out of our control. Then we talked and she admitted that she liked me a lot when we first starting dating but her feelings changed and she didn’t know why. We then were just friends, even though i did still like her. Anyway, we starting talking less and less, and about 2 months after just being friends we stooped talking altogether. This was before the summer. Then i started to not even think about her, then suddenly we started talking again around this time last year. From then on we occasionally talk here and there and that was fine. But lately i don’t know what happened, I’m suddenly really missing her a lot. I Don’t know why either. I think about her all the time now, I miss talking to her on a regular basis.
So to sum it all up… why am i suddenly missing a girl this much, much later after we stopped being close? Like last year when we first talked again for the longest time I didn’t feel this at all. Why is this happening now so late after what happened? please i need help, thanks.
