I own a GSD. dogbreedinfo.com is NOT a good source, as they acknowledge mixed breeds.
My German Shepherd came from my great grandmother, she bred GSDs and had quite a few champions. She had also bred peke’s (pekingese) and she was very expierienced with dogs, as she owned her own kennels as well.
GSD’s in America are practically a different breed from the German GSDs. Your best bet is to either
A) Find a reputable breeder in Germany
B) Go to Germany and bring a dog home.
I feel that german shepherds are the greatest breed to walk this big planet, and that they are truly beautiful creatures! Hope that is works well, and you love and care for your dog(s) until their last day on this planet.

I think I've just experienced love at first sight?
Well I was sitting in class today when the principle came around and introduced us to this girl called Kiara. She walked through the doors and my eyes popped out of my head, we both stared at each other for a moment, I smiled she smiled then I sunk into my chair. I just broke up about 3 weeks ago with my girlfriend who was great to me and I was great with her we both just thought we were closer when we were mates. I didn’t expect to feel this way again so soon. What should I do?
1. Befriend her and risk getting stuck in this so called friend zone.
2. Straight out approach her as more interested in her.

No such thing as love at first sight. Love has to grow. It was an immediate attraction which is good. The problem is that you have to be sure that you are over your ex before seeing anyone else. You do not want this girl to end up being just a rebound. Just talk to her and tell her you are interested in her, but you need to be sure you are ready to start dating again. (She will respect you for being so sensitive) Ask her if it is okay for you to ask her out when you feel ready.

How should I approach a girl?
In my law class, we had to work in groups of 6 and I ended up working in a group with 5 girls. Including me it’s six (I’m a boy) . There is this one girl in the group that I really like but I don’t even know her. I just like her… I don’t even know her name or anything about her.. this is sort of like love at first sight. Tomorrow, me and the other 5 girls have to go in front of the whole class and present our work. How should I approach this girl to let her know that I’m interested in her? Today in class, everyone was just working with their groups and I was really quiet, I barely even said anything because I was shy. I’m usually like that around girls… I can’t look in their eyes and talk, I always look down and talk and if I’m looking at them and if they turn to look at me, I quickly just turn away…
How can I stop myself from doing this and how can I approach that one girl that I really like? Thanks

i think you should just take baby steps and talk to her and be like hey i dont know your name my name is ……. and be like o what grade you in and make eye contact evan though its hard she will know your listing and just keep giving her looks in class and trust me she will get the hint you like her

Is it okay to be jaded all the time?
I know this person who is completely null and void of any feelings; stoic if you will. This person got into an argument with his neighbor’s about walking and sex noise coming from the apartment he was living in. When asked "how would you feel about this if someone else did this?" the person simply replied, "been there done that, wouldn’t feel a thing".
I talked to this individual about his views on life and it turns out, life has been a bi’tch to this person. Hence the cold personality. Is it alright for this person to be so heartless and jaded throughout the remainder of life due to past experiences?
no, it’s not alright but it would take a considerable amount of thawing to get this person to be warm.

I don’t believe stoicism is necessarily or essentially "bad". To say so would require a judgment based on personal values and beliefs and would not be based in objectivity. Just because one person might think life has to be passionate, joyous or emotional does not make it "right" nor does it mean someone else should conform to that thinking.
However, I would also say that someone with a cold personality is not a stoic. Stoicism works both ways. Not only is a stoic not overtly passionate or joyous, but they are not negative either. A stoic accepts the necessities in life without complaint. They live in the neutral.
So, if this person is truly cold, then they are not a stoic. They are probably depressed.
I don’t think it’s alright to live the way you describe this person. I feel like it’s a waste of a life and depending on your belief you might think you only have one life to live. It’s a gift and while it is all our personal choice how we choose to live I think it’s unfortunate when someone doesn’t enjoy it.
Life is a b’tch to a lot of people.. but many of them take it in stride and still find they can enjoy it overall. You know why they can?
Because past experiences are past, the future is not written, and the present is all we have.

I have a secret, my family's crumbling, and it's me and my mom now, what should I do?
Over the past few years, I’d say since 8th grade things got really bad. Even before then, things were weird, like the day my house was searched for a fugitive or when my step dad had to leave for nine months on a "business" trip.
Needless to say, my childhood was a mixture: a dead biological father, loving step father, overbearing mother that I always saw as perfect, and a sometimes nice ,but mostly selfish brother.
Then, came middle school where I was sent to a new school. Sixth grade I was teased and harrassed, "gay" or "faggot" said directly to my face in attempts of intimidation at the lunch table. I found my ground and backbone, figthing words with words and made my place although, it was tough on the days I’d go home sobbing for my mom to let me change schools.
With all the verbal gaybashing, I started having thoughts. I noticed guys when I should’ve been noticing girls and my family was mostly Jamaica homophobic(a place where gays are run out their neighborhoods and a father can stand by as a mob beats his supposedly gay son).
Even at 8, my parents told me "If you or your brother ever end up gay, we’ll kill you." It wasn’t a threat I took seriously at the time because I had no idea what "gay" was ,but then came the internal battle. The guilt. The nights I spent sobbing to God to make me normal and deep down I was alone. I hated myself. I didn’t want this "thing" inside me.
Then, came that night. The night I was sitting in my mother’s room just watching a movie, my dad had lately gone on a business trip. A knock at the door and in came in some of my step brothers. My dad had been stopped on a highway, he had been caught.
Then, came the Greed wars. His family grabbed for anything he had unsuccesfully as my mother fought like a lion. They came one day while we were at school and robbed us anyway.
Then, came my mother and my brother, the yelling and shouting, his bad grades. Then, the car accident he got in with only a few scratches although the car was totaled. Then, me sobbing in front of the washing machine the day my mother wouldn’t stop yelling at us about chores. I missed my father.
I made it out of middle school scarred, still immensely optimistic and naive although without the belief that everyone in the world was "kind". High school came ,but not without my annual summer visit to Jamaica where my dead father’s side of the family still lived. I love them soo much and I got closer to my cousin.
First year came and went, drama with my close friend and soon she left the school in a cloud of smoke, the police questioning me in the office about what happened to her.
That year, last year, I accepted it, alarmingly it was Oprah who broke down my walls and looked through my soul and said, "Stop fighting it. Love yourself. Love"
Second year of high school, I made true friends, swallowed and my overtaking fear and said those words, "I’m gay" to my first person.
Today, I stand having told 15 people, only three of those family and everyone I’ve told has accepted and love me.
But, there’s still that aching hole in my heart. My mother hates gays, my brother only cares for himself and I have the best friends in the world.
How do I hold onto my mother when she’s so bent on being superior to me because she’s my mother? How can I hold onto her when we have such different opinions on trust and the world?
I want hope, love, and real connections. She relies heavily on family and trusts no one else. She tells me that wanting to be a writer won’t make me happy when I know it will. She tells me if M.L.K. couldn’t change the world, what makes me think I can.
She can be loving ,but she just doesn’t listen to what I have to say, so nothing ever changes when I need it to. We still talk of small things and lately, I just sorta stopped all together. I trust my friends more than her and even if she does accept me, how can I go back?
How I can go back to the boy I was at 10 who didn’t have all these scars? The boy who didn’t love himself totally and completely yet?
Now, I do and I’m wondering. When should I tell her? How do I keep us on decent terms until I tell(I’m thinking the day I leave for college next year when I’m 16)?

Honestly, I don’t have any good advice, I just wanted to tell you I think you’re very brave, and I think it’s astounding that amidst all of that sorrow and darkness, you’ve found a light within yourself.
Be a writer, you are a writer. I don’t know you at all, but I can tell that much. Keep writing, and you’re going to do something truly amazing.
If I were you though, I’d wait until I was already in college before I told her. You’ll want some distance between you so that she can deal with it without taking it out on you. I’m saying that only because my dearest friend is gay as well, and he had to wait almost fifteen years to tell his parents (his father is a baptist preacher and his mother is very much involved with the church, of course). They did disown him, but it’s their loss because they’ll never see him the way the rest of us do: beautiful, loving, and completely worthy of all the good that life has to offer. By the way, he’s a writer, too. We met in a creative writing course we were both taking in college.
Martin Luther King may have not changed the world, not fully, but he left the door open for others to continue the work. Not just him, but everyone who has tried to bring more beauty and truth to this world. Who is to say that you or anyone else can’t try to do the same?

I’m new here, but here goes: for the longest time, I used to love my old boyfriend. We were thick as thieves. . We used to do everything together. But we especially used to share a RPG together. We’d have hours of fun just role playing these crazy characters. It used to be great.
But now, he doesn’t seem to care about me.
I wrote a short story all about our former characters and sent it to him via email.
That was a month ago. As of this date, he hasn’t responded.
I just feel so rejected.
Knowing my old boyfriend, if he did contact me about the story, he’d probably only make fun of it.
So not only did I lose my old boyfriend, I lose my muse. My RPpartner and our old fantasy world.
He left because he started hanging out with the cooler people at school, and has no time for me.
Any advice isappreciated.
